Job Description

The Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) is an important member of the Always Compassionate Home Care team. Infusion nurses are needed to provide one-on-one high-tech IV therapy to our patients in the comfort of their home. The infusion nurse’s role is to perform intravenous therapy as well as provide patient education regarding the task being performed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved nursing curriculum with current New York state licensure as a RN.
  • Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in the ED or ICU units, or have infusion center experience

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive nursing assessment
  • PIV, PICC and central line care and access
  • Patient and family education of medication and disease process
  • IV medication preparation and administration
  • Patient safety, monitoring, and post-infusion follow-up
