Job Description

The OT is an important member of the Always Compassionate Home Care team. Overall, practitioners offer strategies for their patients to manage daily activities while at the same time cutting back on the risk of injury or further decline. Their main goal is to improve efficiency and maximize positive outcomes for patients. This Occupational Therapist opportunity would be within a school setting, working directly with pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and implement rehabilitation plans that specify therapeutic interventions Ensures quality and safe delivery of Home Health Care services.
  • Treatments, as prescribed, are given to relieve pain and/or develop or restore function to the upper extremities and to maintain performance.
  • Participation in development of patient plans of care as per policy and procedure
  • Instructing patient and family/caregiver to ensure an effective overall occupational therapy program for the patient.
  • Maintain documentation of all activities and ­observation according to the requirements of the individual health care setting. Keep documentation accurate and informative, address skilled needs.
  • Promotes education for patients, patient’s families, and the community
  • Identification of patients, patient families and community education needs are demonstrated
  • Educational programs are developed and implemented to address patients, patient’s family, and community needs

Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapist Registration and License
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with pediatric patients
  • CPR Card- BCLS or ACLS
  • Physical
  • 2 PPD’s, QuantiFERON Gold Blood test or negative Chest X-Ray with proof of previously positive PPD
  • MMR/Titers Lab Report
  • Covid-19 Vaccination card
  • Two forms of government ID’s
  • Two letters or recommendation
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Letter from your bank or void check for direct deposit
