Job Description

The Pediatric Nurse (LPN/RN) is an important member of the Always Compassionate Home Care team.  The pediatric nurse is responsible for communicating with children of different abilities and developmental levels about their symptoms, talking to patients’ families about medical issues and recording the child’s vital signs and lab results.


  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Possession of current license to practice in New York state as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred

Functional Abilities:

  • Check in on child patients to evaluate their symptoms and check vital signs
  • Complete diagnostic tests
  • Administer medications or minor procedures
  • Create a treatment plan or coordinate follow-up medical care
  • Educate family members on treatment options
